swet (sustained workload and efficiency test) is a portable benchmark for multi-core computers running POSIX and BSD operating systems with multi-thread and multi-process capabilities and flexible, powerful report options.
mysqlstress is small but powerful program in that
it allows an administrator to stress a MySQL
server to check performance.

diskWriggler is a benchmark tool for testing filesystem storage throughput of film or video frames as sequential files or as frames contained in one large file. The expected audience is systems engineers working in the film and post-production industries.
OpenLink ODBC Bench is an ODBC benchmarking tool
providing real-time comparative benchmarking for
ODBC drivers, database engines, and operating
system combinations. The benchmarks in this
application are loosely based on the TPC-A and
TPC-C standard benchmarks, with modifications to
specifically test the performance of an ODBC
driver and/or database engine in a client/server
environment. The benchmark results can be
automatically stored to an ODBC data source or XML
file for further analysis and comparisons to be made.
xrate is a simple program written in C which calculates the realtime transfer rates of a running pipe. This might be useful for checking if your system is fast enough to record a CD on-the-fly.
psinfo shows process information and statistics using the kernel /proc interface. This information includes: process state, environment, arguments and flags; CPU usage; scheduling; I/O usage; virtual memory status; pagefaults; capabilities; and signals. psinfo is useful for providing a detailed view of the current state of an application when diagnosing issues or performance problems.
This release is based on the Unix port of beta release 2 of BYTE Magazine's BYTEmark benchmark program (previously known as BYTE's Native Mode Benchmarks). The port to Linux/Unix was done by Uwe F. Mayer. Additional changes to the code were made to make the code work with egcs compiler and to make the software packagable. This is a CPU benchmark providing indexes for integer, floating, and memory performance. It is single-threaded and is not designed to measure the performance gain on multi-processor machines.
schwanz3 is a personal system measurement utility, and attempts to analyze all important values on different Unix variants. The rating does not aim to be objective, and is intended to be used to compare systems and egos.
Patty is a profiler for JRE 1.5.0 only. It uses
JVMTI and native bytecode instrumentation for the
analysis of the heap, reachable objects, execution
time, garbage collection efficiency, code
coverage, and thread contention. No preparation
steps are required in the build process.
SQLBuster is a simple MySQL benchmarking utility
that runs a query a specified number of times over
a given number of threads and displays how long it
took.
HTTPD::Bench::ApacheBench is the foundation
of a complete benchmarking and regression
testing suite for an advanced, transaction-
based mod_perl site. It is useful for stress
testing a Web server to its limit while verifying
the HTTP responses for correctness.
OSDB, the open source database benchmark, is intended for the use of system and database developers, providing a significant chunk of benchmark code that can be used, tailored, and tweaked according to local needs. It is derived from AS3AP (ANSI SQL Standard and Portable Benchmark); its most important change is the segmentation of the benchmark, allowing developers to concentrate on the results that are most relevant to their work.
PootyPedia is a tool to track which hardware is in use by a software project. PootyPedia consists of a client program which finds the hardware and prepares it for reporting and a server program which tracks all the reports and keeps them organized in a database and generates reports from them.
FSHeal aims to be a general filesystem tool that can scan and report vital "defective" information about the filesystem like broken symlinks, forgotten backup files, and left-over object files, but also source files, documentation files, user documents, and so on. It will scan the filesystem without modifying anything and reporting all the data to a logfile specified by the user which can then be reviewed and actions taken accordingly.
benchbase is a project to store and manage JMeter or FunkLoad benchmark results and monitor logs. It produces a detailed report with charts.
