Remote-Hand_DIOはVMware Playerと1CDLinuxのPepoLinuxを使いFOMAやDIO-シリアルを接続してネットワーク監視や外部信号の入力監視を行えるものです。
外部入力信号の変化によりメールの通知、パトライト点灯やgmailとwgetを使い遠隔地の入力信号の状態通知や外部接続機器をオン・オフすることが出来ます。
防犯センサ、火災報知器などの入力監視で防犯、防災やWebカメラを接続すれば介護などで見守を必要とする場合もLinuxで行う事が出来ます。
携帯電話FOMAをUSB接続すれば遠隔地からのリモートログイン・ダイヤルインサーバーなどまさにリモートハンド（remote-hand）を手軽に実現させるVMware Applianceです。
