The DOCSIS config file encoder converts a human-readable text configuration file into a binary configuration file compatible with DOCSIS cable modems or PacketCable Multimedia Terminal Adapters (MTAs).

This release adds support for a few TLVs
(DownstreamChannelList, TftpModemAddress,
TftpTimeout) and has better support for
PacketCable MTA files. It now automatically
encodes large SNMP MIB object as TLV 64. Some
minor bugfixes are included as well.
Improved support for Payload Header Suppression, new support for SNMPv3Kickstart and SNMPv3TrapReceiver, improved SNMP handling, a few bugfixes, and a new regression test script.
DOCSIS 1.1/2.0 configuration files now work much better. Support for directly encoding back configuration files decoded by docsis has been added. The MIB output format has been improved for readability. Preliminary support for encoding MTA configuration files has been added. Many other fixes and improvements were made.
Addition of -lcrypto to $LIBS to work with ucd-snmp-4.2, source code cleanups, support for decoding a binary file, and a fix for a bug in decoding unsigned shorts (MaxBurstUp).
