GL-117 is an OpenGL- and SDL-based action flight simulator written in C++. It provides a random terrain generator, lighting effects, sounds, and joystick support.

This release added graphics optimizations. The view
can be extended by 50%, and the quality modes
were promoted (the old quality=5 is now quality=4).
There were also minor adjustments and graphical
improvements for missiles and radar. Logging to a file
was implemented.
This release adds a text mode map editor and some examples. Important
bugfixes have also been made concerning a texture loading problem,
joystick events, and a segmentation fault at mission startup.

configuration options for video effects, keyboard,
mouse, and joystick. It also features two additional
tutorials, AI flight maneuvers, randomized tree
placement, improved collision detection, and lots of
visual effects.
