JSesh is an editor for ancient Egyptian
hieroglyphic texts. It can export the text into
picture formats, such as WMF files for easy
inclusion in word processors. JSesh can also be
used as a library for other projects concerning
ancient Egyptian.

WriteOnly is a text editor for fiction writers. If you wish you had a typewriter, note cards, a dictionary in place of your word processor, this might be the program for you.

SynchroEdit is a browser-based document editor for
use by multiple users simultaneously. It is a form
of same-time, different-place groupware. It allows
multiple users to edit a single web-based document
at the same time, and it continuously synchronizes
all changes so that users always have the same
version.

Z-Doc is an Aportis(TM) DOC compatible reader/writer with support for
encryption, compression, and serial port input/output. It is built mainly for
programmers who wish to access the DOC format files from a Palm Pilot or from
standalone Unix C code. It has modular read/write functions which can be picked
up and dropped into other GPLed projects.

libwpd is a library designed to help process WordPerfect documents. It exposes a simple callback-based API (similar to SAX), allowing it to be easily plugged into any C or C++ application.

It is used by recent versions of AbiWord and OpenOffice.org to provide WordPerfect file import.

InteliEditor is a very lightweight, full-featured, multi-language, WYSIWYG HTML editor written in JavaScript, DHTML, PHP, and ASP. It is designed to be used wherever Rich Text is needed.

JOrtho is a spell checker for Java. The library works with any
JTextComponent from the Swing framework and checks as you type. The
dictionary is based on the free Wiktionary.org, and is applicable for
multiple languages. You can select the spell checking language via a
context menu. The Features of JOrtho are the highlighting of potentially
wrongly spelled words, a context menu with suggestions for correct forms
of the word, and a context menu with option to change the checking
language. At the moment there are nine languages for spell checking
available: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Polish, Dutch,
and Arabic.
